Le Krewe d'Etat is founded under the motto "Live to Ride, Ride to Live," reviving a traditional, satirical style of float design that pokes fun at politics and culture.

Every Carnival season

The Krewe rolls on Friday night before Mardi Gras, starting at Napoleon and Magazine, up Napoleon to St. Charles Avenue, around Harmony Circle, and on to Canal Street — 24 floats strong, including the signature High Priest float.

Recognition

Le Krewe d'Etat's floats have been voted "Best of Carnival" by critics for their traditional design and sharp satirical themes.

2025

The LTRRTL Foundation is formally established as the Krewe's 501(c)(3) charitable arm, giving members a permanent way to turn Carnival energy into community impact. The Foundation introduces the Float Challenge, a friendly fundraising competition between floats.
